Register your interest for Bluesday Tuesday
Suffolk Mind would like to invite all Suffolk schools to take part in Bluesday Tuesday on Tuesday 4 February, during Children’s Mental Health Week.
Sometimes we can find it hard to know what to say. Suffolk Mind can help by showing you what to say and how to listen, and how you can help yourself and others feel more calm.
We will be releasing some skills-based videos, worksheets and suggestions for everyone from age 4 to adulthood for how you can use talking and listening strategies to look after your own and others’ mental health. This will include what to look out for, how to respond and how you can help others feel listened to.
In return, we ask that you fundraise for us so that we can ‘pay it forward’ and provide training to more schools so that more schools in Suffolk can benefit from our skills.
Fundraising suggestions:
- Wear blue non-uniform or design a blue poster for school with our top tips on
- Hear from the experts: Follow our micro-teach reflective listening masterclass in assembly or in class
- Host a listening café
- Invite parents in to learn this skill with their children
